Technical specifications: 

• Part type: Sliding support liner (Glide / Slide/Support).

• Technical function: it acts as a low friction surface between the rotating drum (Drum) and the front cover of the dryer. Provides stable support for the drum and prevents direct metal contact that may damage the drum or cause metal friction sounds.

• Material: plastic (nylon/Teflon) is designed to withstand high heat and constant friction without the need for lubrication.

• Design: they are usually installed in groups (often 4 pieces) around the inner edge of the front cover of the dryer.

How to use and maintain

1. Signs of damage (when should it be replaced?):

• Sounds: hearing a continuous metal "grinding" or "squeaking" sound as the drum rotates, caused by plastic corrosion and the metal drum reaching the metal structure of the dryer.

• Optical corrosion: When you disassemble the dryer, if you notice that the pieces have become too flat or thin (less than half their original thickness), they need to be replaced.

• Dress scratches: The presence of circular scratch marks on the edge of the metal pot.

2. Installation instructions:

• Safety: completely disconnect the power from dried.

• Piece access: access to these supports requires unscrewing the front panel of the dryer. You will need to remove the top cover and then unscrew the screws securing the front panel.

• Mass substitution: Technical base: It must always be replaced all pieces (4 pieces) simultaneously. Replacing just one will cause the drum rotation to become unbalanced, causing new and old pieces to wear out quickly.

• Cleaning: Before installing the new supports, clean the edge of the metal pot and the place where the supports are installed in the front structure from any dust or corroded plastic residue to ensure a flat installation surface.

• Installation: the supports are installed by pressure in their designated places (sometimes with a small screw or with a "piston" system). Make sure it is completely stable and does not move.
