Technical specifications: 

• Part type: Transmission belt (Drive Belt).

• Technical function: Transferring rotational force from the dryer motor (Drive Motor) to the drying drum (Drum). The dryer relies on the friction between this belt and the outer surface of the drum to manage rotation.

• Material: reinforced rubber (Rubber) with layers of fibers (Fiber-reinforced) to ensure strength and prevent over-expansion under conditions of constant heat and pressure.

• Design: long belt with internal ribs (Ribbed) to ensure high cohesion with the motor pulley (Idler Pulley) and the drum surface.

How to use and maintain

1. When should I replace?

• Belt interruption: If the motor is running but the pot is not rotating, this is the first and most common reason.

• Visual damage: the presence of cracks (Cracks), wear on the ribs, or signs of "hardening" in the rubber, which reduces the coefficient of friction and causes the belt to slip (Squealing/Slipping).

• Movement laxity: If you notice that the pot rotates slowly or "stumbles" when loading the dryer with full weight, it means that the belt has stretched and lost tension.

2. Installation instructions:

• Safety: completely disconnect the power from dried.

• Belt access: requires unscrewing the front or top plate of the dryer to access the perimeter of the drum.

• Routing method (Routing):

  • The belt wraps around the outer perimeter of the suit.

  • It passes through a tension pulley (Idler Pulley) attached to the spring.

  • Wraps around the engine shaft (Motor Shaft).

  • Tip: draw a belt path diagram (or process photos) before loosening it, as misdirecting the belt around the tension pulley is the most common mistake.

• Check associated components: When replacing the belt, must check the tension pulley (Idler Pulley) and support pulleys (Drum Rollers). If the pulleys are rough or stuck, they will damage the new belt in a very short time.
