How to use and maintain

1. When should I replace?

• Signs of thermal damage: the presence of melting in the plastic, or a change in the color of the nails (to black or dark grey), indicating the presence of heat resulting from "contact resistance" (Contact Resistance).

• Chronic laxity: if you notice that the screws are not connecting the cables tightly, this results in an electrical spark (Arcing) that will quickly damage the piece and the cables connected to it.

• Performance fluctuation: if the device operates intermittently (turns off and lights up suddenly), the internal connection in the collector may be corroded.

2. Installation instructions:

• Safety: completely disconnect the power from the main breaker panel.

• Verification: take a photo of the wires before unscrewing them. Any error in connecting high-amp power cords will result in immediate damage to the device or the risk of fire.

• Preparing the limbs: If the copper wire heads are charred or corroded, The damaged part must be cut and strip a new, shiny, clean part before connecting it to the new complex.

• Tightening the connection: use a suitable screwdriver to fasten the screws firmly enough. Looseness is the number one reason these pieces burn.
