How to use and maintain

• Mechanism of action: The heater coil (Element) responds to thermostat signals (Thermostat) to heat the air passing through it, and then the exhaust fan pushes this hot air into the dryer drum.

• Signs of damage (when should it be replaced?):

  • Cold air: The dryer rotates but there is no heat.

  • Wire damage: Interruption of the heating coil due to prolonged use or "heat stress".

  • Continuity check: When testing both ends of the heater with a multimeter, a reading should appear indicating continuity (Circuit Continuity). If the device does not read anything, the heater is damaged.

• Installation tips:

  1. Safety: unplugged the electricity is a must.

  2. Check associated components: When replacing the heater (WP3387747), You should check the thermal fuse (Thermal Fuse) and the temperature limiter (High-Limit ThermostatIf the heater burned out due to an airway obstruction (the most common cause), it is very likely that these fuses may also have been damaged.

  3. cleanliness: completely get rid of any lint (Lint) accumulated in the heater chamber; Because the presence of any remaining lint may lead to minor fires when the new heater is first turned on.
