How to use and maintain

• Mechanism of action: The seal creates a closed air path; if damaged or corroded, hot air will escape from the drum before passing through the clothes, significantly increasing drying time and energy consumption.

• When will the replacement take place?

  1. Air/lint leakage: If you notice lint or hot air coming out of the edges of the dryer.

  2. Friction noise: A sharp metallic sound is heard as the drum rotates, indicating wear of the seal and metal-to-metal friction.

  3. Poor drying: Clothes remain damp after the usual cycle ends.

• Installation tips:

  • Cleaning (critical step): Before applying the adhesive, any residue from the old seal must be completely removed and the metal surface cleaned with a solvent (such as alcohol) to ensure the new seal is stable.

  • Dryer: after the seal is applied, the adhesive must be allowed to dry completely for the period specified in the instructions (often several hours) before operating the dryer, to ensure that it does not come loose under the influence of heat.
